Multi-axis Machining Technology

Our machines use multi-axis machining technology, allowing the cutting tools to move freely in multiple directions. This allows you to cut complex, irregular stone pieces, such as Roman columns, monolithic basins, and relief carvings—without needing to reposition the stone. Every step, from cutting to carving, is completed in a single operation. With multi-axis coordination, the servo motors can correct angular deviations in real time, resulting in smooth motion paths.

Wide Application for Various Stones

Wide Application for Various Stones

Our stone CNC cutting machines are capable of cutting granite, marble, slabs, and tiles, so you don’t need to purchase separate equipment for different types of stone.  Designed for reliable and stable performance, they can cut both soft and hard stone with clean, precise results—without chipping or cracking.

Our machines automatically adjust processing parameters based on the material hardness, ensuring a smoother cut, less waste, and more consistent finished quality.

Flexible Customization

In addition to our standard models, we offer custom stone routers for different applications. You can customise the worktable dimensions and spindle configuration. If you want your brand logo on the machine, our design team is available to assist.

Can Stone CNC Routers Process Irregular Stone Shapes?

Our stone CNC cutting machines can handle irregular stone blocks. Equipped with a CNC system, the machines operate automatically based on CAD drawings. Whether cutting straight lines or curves, the tool cuts with high precision. Our machines also feature multi-axis interpolation for precise machining of bevels, chamfers, and complex 3D geometries.

Is the Stone CNC Router Suitable for Large-Scale Engineering Projects?

The MC stone CNC routers are suitable for large-scale construction projects. We offer a variety of table sizes ranging from 1300×2500 mm to 3200×2000 mm, allowing you to hold an entire large slab in a single setup. You also don’t have to worry about loading and unloading; our machines can be equipped with an optional automatic system.

Can Stone CNC Routers Process Ceramic Boards?

Our stone CNC routers meet the high-precision machining requirements for ceramic slabs. Ceramic slabs are extremely hard and brittle, so they are prone to cracking during cutting. However, our machines feature a high-rigidity steel frame and specialised cutting tools, delivering precise cutting with minimal vibration.

Can the Stone CNC Router Perform Automatic Nesting?

Yes, our stone CNC router supports automatic nesting. It is equipped with a CCD vision system that identifies imperfections in the stone and avoids defective areas. The control system automatically generates nesting patterns and cutting paths, helping you save time on nesting. Furthermore, the machine’s nesting is more accurate than manual nesting, ensuring consistent slab dimensions.

What Factors Affect the Price of a Stone CNC Router?

The price of a stone CNC cutting machine depends on three main factors: worktable size, the number of axes, and automation level. Generally speaking, machines with larger worktables are more expensive. The more axes you choose and the higher the level of automation, the higher the price of the machine.

Can the Machine Run 24 Hours?

The MC Stone CNC cutting machine is designed for 24-hour operation. Equipped with a water-cooling system, it prevents overheating. Besides, an automatic lubrication system regularly lubricates key moving components, ensuring smooth, reliable operation. At the same time, it helps you extend the machine’s service life.

What Is Multi-Axis Stone CNC Machining?

Multi-axis CNC stone machining adds a rotating axis to the standard three-axis movement (X, Y, Z). This gives the cutting tool the ability to cut the stone from more angles. With this feature, you can cut complex 3D shapes.

Additionally, a four-axis or five-axis machine can handle the entire process, from cutting to edge grinding, in one setup.

Why CNC Stone Cutting Is Better Than Manual Work?

Higher Cutting Accuracy

CNC cutting follows digital instructions from a computer, so no matter how many pieces you cut, the dimensions and curves of each stone will be the same. They will even fit together perfectly during subsequent assembly.  Manual cutting, on the other hand, depends on the worker’s eyesight, so dimensional errors are more likely.

Higher Production Efficiency

Manual stone cutting involves marking the lines on the stone. Then you need to check the markings by eye and change cutting tools. When cutting complex shapes, it is necessary to measure the dimensions repeatedly.

A CNC stone cutting machine integrates cutting, drilling, and machining into a single automated process, which helps increase productivity by 10 times.

Lower Stone Material Waste

Manual cutting often requires extra material allowances to compensate for cutting inaccuracies, resulting in material waste. By comparison, stone CNC routers use automatic nesting to optimise cutting layouts.

How to Choose a Suitable Stone CNC Router

Stone Materials

Soft and hard stones have different requirements for cutting machines. When you cut soft materials such as marble, a spindle power of 7.5–11 kW is usually enough.

When you work with hard stones, a more powerful spindle (15 kW or more) and a high-rigidity frame are required to ensure stable cutting and reduce chipping.

Machining Complexity

If you only need to machine flat panels, straight edges, or countertops, a three-axis cutting machine offers the best value. This is because these applications mainly involve flat surfaces and simple contours, with no need for tool angle changes.

If you’re creating arcs or Roman columns, you can choose a five-axis stone CNC router or a model equipped with a rotary axis. This configuration allows the machine to perform continuous rotational movements, resulting in workpieces with more uniform curves.

Slab Size and Thickness

If you’re looking for a stone CNC router capable of cutting entire slabs, a gantry-type cutting machine is your best choice. These machines have a wide span, allowing you to easily place an entire slab on the table and avoid frequent repositioning. Additionally, they are very stable, with minimal vibration during cutting.

Standard slab thicknesses range from 10 to 100 mm; for slabs within this range, a standard stone CNC cutting machine is enough. If you need to cut stone slabs thicker than 200 mm, you will need a heavy-duty cutting machine equipped with a high-power spindle in the 15–22 kW range to ensure stable cutting of thick slabs.
