MC multi‑head CNC routers are high‑precision cutting and engraving devices. They are equipped with a multi-spindle machining system. All spindles move along the same path, so you can cut multiple workpieces of the same shape simultaneously.

Multi-Spindle Synchronous Cutting

MC multi-head routers use multi-spindle synchronized cutting technology and are driven by a single CNC system. All spindles operate synchronously, so the finished workpieces come out the same size. 

You can also adjust spindle spacing through the CNC system to cut workpieces of different widths in one pass. This gives you better material use and less waste.

To prevent large sheets from warping or shifting during processing, our machine is equipped with an independent vacuum suction system. The worktable is divided into multiple zones, each controlled by the CNC system. When cutting small workpieces, you can place them in a single zone to ensure stronger suction. During cutting, you can activate only the zones covering the workpieces and deactivate the unused zones. 

Energy-Efficient Cutting Solution

Our machines feature a multi-spindle machining system, capable of cutting 4 to 8 workpieces simultaneously, allowing for higher output per hour. This reduces energy consumption per workpiece by 50% to 80%. Our multi-spindle CNC routers use a spindle milling process, in which high-speed rotating cutting tools are used to engrave and cut workpieces. Each machine has several independently driven spindles. A single CNC system controls them to follow the same paths, so multiple workpieces are produced in a single pass. 

Does Using a Multi-Head CNC Router Affect Cutting Accuracy?

Using a multi-head CNC cutting machine does not affect cutting accuracy. Our machines have a very rigid frame that remains stable during operation. Multi-head CNC routers are also equipped with a closed-loop ball screw servo control system that monitors the spindle’s position in real time, fixes any deviation, and prevents the machine from losing steps. 

How Much Faster Is a Multi-Head CNC Router Compared to a Single-Head Router?

When processing the same number of workpieces, multi-head CNC cutting machines are generally 2 to 4 times more efficient than single-head CNC cutting machines. Multi-head CNC routers use multiple spindles to cut, engrave, and drill simultaneously, producing multiple identical workpieces in a single pass.

What Are the Wear Parts of a Multi-Head CNC Router?

The wear components of a multi-head CNC router include cutting tools, guide rail sliders, and spindle bearings. These components are subjected to repeated friction during high-speed operation. We recommend that you check these wear components regularly and replace them.

What Is a Multi-Head CNC Router?

A multi-head CNC router is equipped with two, four, or more independently driven spindles. All spindles are mounted on a single beam and can be controlled via a CNC system. With this system, you can produce twice as many products on a worktable of the same size.

At the same time, if you do not need multiple cutting heads to operate simultaneously, you can disable some of the spindles in the control system, allowing the machine to function as a single-head cutting machine.

How Does a Multi-Head CNC Router Work? 

CNC Programming 

First, you can design the drawings in CAD or CAM software, then import them into the control system and set parameters such as cutting speed. The system will automatically generate a unified G-code program. Since the cutting paths for all spindles are identical, you only need to design a single program.

Automatic Layout 

Our multi-head CNC router supports automatic nesting. The built-in CNC system arranges multiple identical parts based on their size and spindle spacing. It optimizes the layout to maximize material utilization, so you can produce more parts from the same sheet.  

Multi-Spindle Synchronization 

Since one CNC system controls all spindles, they follow the same paths. You only need to send one command, and the machine will start and finish cutting in sync. A servo-driven system continuously monitors spindle positioning and corrects any deviation.  

How to Choose a Suitable Multi-Head CNC Router?

Material Types 

The type of material you process determines the spindle power, speed, and machine rigidity. For soft materials like wood panels, cutting resistance is low, so a standard air‑cooled spindle is enough. If you are producing acrylic, PVC, or similar materials, you should use a high-speed spindle equipped with an automatic chip removal system. For hard materials, you can choose a high‑power water‑cooled spindle and specialized stone‑cutting tools.

Number of Spindles 

You can choose the number of spindles based on your production needs. A multi-head CNC cutting machine with two spindles is suitable for small batch orders and products that require high cutting precision. 

To balance production volume and cutting precision, you can choose a 4‑spindle multi‑head CNC cutting machine. It works well for most workpieces. Machines with 6 to 8 spindles are suitable for large‑scale production of the same design. They cut fast, so you can complete orders quickly.
